Job summary

Falck US is seeking a Billing Specialist I to start a journey in Billing, owning verification, coding support, and processing tasks. The role offers a clear ladder toward Billing Specialist II and beyond within the EMS RCM environment.

You will learn to review insurance data, support coding steps, and process claims while building attention to detail and system skills. Training and career development are provided.

• Participate in training sessions and coaching to apply feedback.

• Billing Specialist III – Advanced One Biller


• Billing Auditor – Improve & Educate (and still help in production)

We are looking for people who want togrow through this ladder, not stay in the first role forever.

As a Billing Specialist I, you start your journey in Billing by owning:

• Verification – checking insurance and basic patient/contract data.


• Coding support – supporting the coding step with accurate data and documentation checks.


• Processing – supporting claim creation and submission steps.

You don’t need previous billing experience; we will teach you. What you need is attention to detail, basic computer skills and a strong wish to learn and grow in the healthcare system. This role is astepping stone – the expectation is that strong performers will progress towardsBilling Specialist IIor, over time, into more advanced roles (III, Billing Auditor, or Lead).

Essential Functions:

Depending on your assigned track (Verification / Coding support / Processing), you will:

• Work onthe Billing process using clear SOPs and checklists.


• Review data from systems and PCRs for completeness and basic accuracy (e.g. patient details, insurance details, service dates, basic contract rules).


• Complete your daily queue of tasks in our Billing system (Logis) and portals in a structured, timely way so queues do not build up into backlog.


• Escalate unclear or complex cases to more experienced billers (Specialist II/III) or your Billing Manager.


• Participate in training sessions and coaching, and actively apply feedback to improve.
