Job summary

Elevation Individual and Family Therapy PLLC is seeking a Billing Specialist to support revenue operations and medical billing across our practice. The role requires attention to detail, effective payer communication, and the ability to work across multiple billing platforms to improve financial performance.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in revenue cycle management, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of revenue cycle management experience.

• Skilled at establishing and maintaining positive and effective work relationships with co-workers, clients, members, providers, and other business partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective communication to pay sources and clients regarding billing needs.
• Correspond with EAPs and insurance payers, and clients, regarding claim processing and payment.
• Respond to internal and external emails within 24–48 hours upon receipt.
• Maintain an organized record of insurance and client payment documents.
• Provide reports to administrative team including outstanding balances, outstanding claims, and EAP Services/Unit Compliance.
• Oversee revenue cycle to assist with maintaining the financial health of the company.
• Assist with verification of insurance benefits for clients.
• Manage all outstanding debt collections and correspondence with third party debt collectors.
• Submit billing rosters as required by Medicaid and Managed Care Organizations
• Assist with insurance credentialing needs if time allows and with CEO approval
• Other tasks as designated by CEO if time allows

The Billing Specialist will utilize their knowledge of revenue cycle management, commercial and Illinois Medicaid billing requirements, and medical billing systems to support the company's medical billing and revenue operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide effective communication to pay sources and clients regarding billing needs.


• Correspond with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and insurance payers, as well as clients, regarding claim processing and payment.


• Respond to internal and external emails in a timely fashion, within 24-48 hours upon receipt of email.


• Maintain an organized record of insurance and client payment documents.
