Job summary

Renalcare-Associates-1 is seeking a full-time Billing Specialist to ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursement for healthcare services. You will prepare and submit claims to insurers, review patient accounts, and resolve denials while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The role requires proficiency with billing software and EPIC or similar EMR systems, plus strong attention to detail and communication skills to support patients and the care team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of prior medical billing experience.
• Proficiency with EPIC or another EMR and billing software.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting accurate claims to insurance companies, government payers and patients
• Reviewing patient accounts and verifying insurance coverages

• Maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations including HIPAA
• Communication with patients regarding billing inquiries and providing excellent customer service

Requirements: A key job requirement is prior experience in medical billing. This role requires accuracy and compliance, proficiency in billing software, databases or other financial tolls and a strong willingness to learn. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and experience with EPIC or another electronic EMR system also preferred.
