Job summary

Jobtailor in Overland Park, KS seeks a Medical Billing Specialist to prepare and submit claims for home infusion services, including medications, nursing, and supplies. You will process electronic pharmacy claims to Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and commercial plans and verify reimbursement data for timely weekly and month-end close.

You will maintain knowledge of payer contracts and guidelines, address billing inquiries, review payments, and support access to LUX Infusion services for individuals

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit insurance claims for home infusion services, including medications, nursing, and supplies.
• Process electronic pharmacy claims to Medicare Part D, Medicaid, and commercial insurance plans.
• Verify prescription reimbursement data is complete, accurate, and entered timely before weekly and month-end close.
• Confirm documentation aligns with billed services, codes, and expected reimbursement.
• Review payments and apply them accurately to patient accounts through final resolution.
• Maintain understanding of payer contracts, coverage criteria, and reimbursement guidelines.
• Address billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Stay current on billing regulations, coding guidelines, and payer requirements.
• Work with clearinghouses and billing systems to support clean claims and efficient workflows.
• Assist with data entry, administrative, and clerical billing tasks as needed.
• Prioritize competing demands, manage multiple tasks, and seek guidance when appropriate.
• Assist or coordinate assistance to ensure access to LUX Infusion services for individuals with disabilities.
