Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Billing Specialist to join the Billing Team within the Finance Department. The role handles claim submissions, payer responses, and re-submissions to ensure accurate billing and timely payments.

Daily tasks include data system management, reporting, and collaboration with the team to optimize workflows. Candidates should have 3–5 years in healthcare billing, strong Excel skills, and the ability to multi-task while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Submit and receive all electronic claim files and payer responses/rejections; research and resubmission of rejected claims.
• Work pre-post reports prior to submission to ensure claims are correct.
• Initiate and complete enrollment process for payers/providers in medical clearing house.
• Assist in adding and maintaining the HC BP payer setup process.
• Support, maintain, and administer multiple data systems for commercial insurances.
• Daily mapping, testing, processing, monitoring, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Billing Team to complete billing claim workflows.
• Use documentation and websites to ensure accurate and efficient processing of billing claims.
• Monitor types of claim rejections; resolve and report issues to Revenue Cycle Manager.
• Assist in the development of a Billing Manual.
• Produce high quality work that is complete and accurate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions
