The Billing Specialist role at OTAVA is responsible for supporting the billing process, processing invoices, reviewing customer contracts, maintaining organized financial records to aid reporting, and responding to both internal and external customer inquiries in a positive manner.

Work Location: Remote with occasional on-site days, 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday

Role Responsibilities
  • Manage monthly invoice runs ensuring accurate and timely sending of customer invoices
  • Assist customers and sales teams with managing customer orders and contracts
  • Proactively and positively respond to, and engage with other departments as needed to help resolve, incoming customer questions and issues
  • Securely handle customer data and payment information
  • Ensure contracts and customer records are kept current in relevant systems
  • Provide regular, accurate reports of billing data
  • Other duties as assigned
Experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in a billing or similar role
  • Experience with a CRM system is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel, is desirable)
  • Accurate and results-driven
  • Willingness to learn
  • Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information
  • Proficiency in English
  • High degree of attention to detail, responsibility, and trustworthiness
  • Ability to effectively interact with internal and external customers
  • Adherence to laws and best practices regarding dealing with customers and data
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
