Job summary

Cerity Partners is seeking a highly capable Billing & Revenue Recognition professional to prepare, execute and manage client billing in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes accuracy, communication and cross-team collaboration across Billing, Finance and Operations.

Ideal candidates bring a finance or accounting background with 2–4 years’ experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with portfolio systems like Orion or Addepar.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field is required/preferred.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in operations or finance, including billing, account opening, or reconciliation.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and portfolio accounting systems (Orion or Addepar).
  • Highly detail-oriented with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Setup client configurations in portfolio accounting systems.
  • Run and manage quarterly billing processes with custodians.
  • Resolve billing issues and handle ad hoc requests.
  • Prepare and distribute client billing.
  • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable to ensure billing/payments accuracy.
  • Work across Billing, Finance and Operations to improve processes.

Job description

Cerity Partners is seeking a talented and motivated individual with the highest level of personal integrity to join our Billing & Revenue Recognition Team. In this role, you will prepare, execute, and manage various client billing functions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate must have impeccable attention to detail, strong communication skills, and proven analytical and financial experience. Primary Responsibilities
  • Ensure accurate client setup in the firm's portfolio accounting systems
  • Manage and execute accurate and timely quarterly billing runs, including facilitating billing processes across major custodians
  • Resolve billing issues and handle ad hoc billing requests
  • Assist with preparing and distributing client billing
  • Partner with Accounts Receivable to ensure accuracy of all billing and payments
  • Collaborate across Billing, Finance, and Operations teams to drive process improvements

Compensation Range:

$60,000 - $70,000
