Purpose

The billing clerk is responsible for generating and issuing invoices and credit memos, updating customer files, and ensuring accurate billing processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create invoices and credit memos for customers
• Maintain and update customer files
• Respond to customer inquiries and resolve billing issues
• Track discrepancies between shipping logs and invoice records
• Gather necessary information for billing calculations (order amounts, discounts, etc.)
• Verify data accuracy in the accounting system before finalizing bills
• Send invoices and credit memos to customers via mail, email, or other channels
• Report billing activities to management
• Perform additional ad hoc tasks as needed
