Job summary

Quality Life Services is seeking a Billing Associate to manage prescription insurance claims and ensure accurate adjudication with third-party payers. You will work closely with nursing staff to resolve rejected claims and support residents and families with billing questions.

This Full-Time role requires prior medical billing experience, strong Excel/Word skills, and availability for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday with periodic weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Prior medical/pharmacy billing experience is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee prescription insurance claims processing.
• Adjudicate pharmacy claims with third party payers.
• Contact third party payers for overrides on denied claims.
• Coordinate solutions on rejected claims with nursing staff.
• Review Long Term Care facility files and reconcile resident status changes.
• Assist residents and families with billing issues.
• Perform prior authorizations and reviews.
• Process Long Term Care facility returns.
• Bill and organize Emergency kits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As a Billing Associate, your primary responsibility is to oversee prescription insurance claims.
• Adjudication of pharmacy claims with third party payers.
• Contact third party payers for over-rides on denied claims.
• Work with nursing staff to coordinate solutions on rejected claims.
• Review Long Term Care facility files and reconcile any changes to resident’s status (responsible party, admission, discharge, prescription coverage).
• Work with residents and families to resolve billing issues.
• Prior Authorization and review.
• Processing Long Term Care facility returns.
• Billing and organizing of Emergency kits.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Prior medical/pharmacy billing experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm with a weekend rotation once every 3 weeks
