Job summary

Hydro in Florida is seeking a reliable Material Handler to receive and inspect incoming raw materials, manage inventory, and safely operate forklifts to move and stage materials. You will maintain accurate records, support packing areas, and ensure compliance with HSE standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes strong math, data entry, attention to detail, and good communication with drivers and colleagues. A forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification and ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Strong mathematics and data entry proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize.
• Basic knowledge of shipping procedures.
• Good PC skills and typing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials and verify against packing lists and POs.
• Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies and report issues.
• Clean aluminum billets as required to meet standards.
• Organize and maintain raw material inventory in the yard.
• Safely load scrap materials using forklifts and handling equipment.
• Count scrap and maintain inventory records with accuracy.
• Enter receiving information into computer systems and records.
• Operate forklifts to unload and stage materials.
• Respond to driver inquiries and provide directions as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe billet yard and warehouse areas.
• Adhere to HSE, quality, and productivity requirements.
• Support packing or other areas as needed.
