Job summary

Kentucky United Methodist Children’s Homes (KyUMH) is seeking a Youth Care Associate (YCA) to support youth who have experienced trauma in Owensboro, KY. This PRN role offers bilingualSpanish/English duties, a focus on safety and healing, and opportunities to move into full-time positions when available.

Compensation begins at $17.50+ per hour for bilingual candidates. Paid training and flexible shift options (six or twelve-hour shifts) are offered along with an evening shift differential.

Qualifications

• Bilingual ability in Spanish and English required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with diverse youth.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision of youth to maintain a safe environment and oversee daily routine.
• Be a welcoming, nurturing presence to encourage and support youth.
• Ensure implementation of client treatment plans in cooperation with the treatment team.
• Develop and participate in unit activities (life skills, recreation, cultural education, spiritual life).
• Record documentation per KyUMH policies and communicate with stakeholders as needed.
• De-escalate or physically manage youth when necessary (training provided).
