Job summary

Talently in Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a Bilingual Traveling Safety Coordinator to promote safety across job sites. This hybrid role requires frequent travel, strong OSHA knowledge, and the ability to lead safety training and investigations.

You will partner with project leaders and field teams, develop site-specific safety plans, conduct inspections, and deliver toolbox talks in English and Spanish. Travel, background checks, and eligibility for work in the United States are required.

Qualifications

• OSHA safety knowledge including OSHA 30 and familiarity with OSHA 510 requirements.
• 3+ years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Construction safety experience with focus on concrete construction and tilt-up operations.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective-action planning.
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and stand-downs.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, update, and communicate safety rules, SOPs, and site requirements.
• Lead and participate in safety events, toolbox talks, and training sessions.
• Conduct investigations for accidents, injuries, property damage, and near-misses.
• Perform job site inspections and audits, communicate findings and corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver toolbox talks based on incidents and hazards.
• Develop, review, and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plans with project teams.
• Administer PPE, return-to-work, medical follow-up, drug screening, and training programs.
• Serve as safety resource for superintendents and field personnel while traveling.

As a Bilingual Traveling Safety Coordinator, you will partner with project leaders and field teams across job sites to promote safety, accountability, productivity, and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor, update, and communicate safety rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and site requirements.
• Lead and participate in safety events, stand-downs, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions.
• Conduct thorough accident, injury, property damage, and near-miss investigations.
• Perform and document job site inspections and audits, communicating findings and corrective actions to project teams.
• Develop and deliver customized toolbox talks based on field incidents and identified hazards.
• Develop, review, and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plans in collaboration with project teams.
• Administer PPE, return-to-work, medical follow-up, drug screening, and mandatory training programs.
• Serve as a safety resource for superintendents, foremen, crew leaders, and field personnel while traveling frequently to job sites.

Must-Have Skills:

• OSHA safety knowledge, including OSHA 30 and familiarity with OSHA 510 requirements.
• 3+ years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Construction safety experience
• Knowledge of concrete construction, including tilt-up operations and related job site hazards.
• Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and corrective-action planning.
• Ability to develop and deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and stand-downs.
• Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel frequently with overnight stays.
• Ability to pass required background and drug screenings and work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• CSMC or Construction Safety Site Technician certification, or an equivalent credential.
• Experience supporting commercial, industrial, mixed-use, or multifamily concrete construction projects.
• Experience managing return-to-work programs, post-accident procedures, and medical follow-ups.
• Knowledge of PPE programs, safety training compliance, and license renewal tracking.
• Experience creating and enforcing Site-Specific Safety Plans.
• Strong understanding of proactive safety culture, personal accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, extended hours, and respond to non-standard-hour calls.
