Job summary

GLIDE is seeking a Toddler Teacher to support a toddler program, ensure health and safety, and promote development with age-appropriate, culturally responsive curriculum. This role requires CA licensing compliance knowledge and regular attendance.

Responsibilities include bilingual communication with families, assisting the Lead Teacher with documentation and assessments, and upholding health and safety standards. This is a full-time, non-exempt position under a collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

  • Bilingual ability in Spanish, Cantonese, Arabic or Vietnamese is required.
  • Experience applying diverse learning strategies to support toddlers' growth.
  • Ability to plan and deliver age-appropriate, culturally responsive curriculum.
  • Reflective practitioner who collaborates well with staff and families.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively in bilingual environments with families and staff.
  • Create nurturing, child-centered learning spaces that support exploration and independence.
  • Maintain health and safety procedures and report issues to the Lead Teacher.
  • Engage parents/guardians in program activities and events.
  • Assist with documentation, licensing compliance, DRDP assessments, and meetings.
