Job summary

ACCEL Schools is hiring a TESOL Teacher at Lorain Bilingual Academy in Lorain, Ohio to provide engaging instruction across EK-8 with a focus on social-emotional growth and culturally responsive teaching. The role requires an Ohio teaching license and a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.

You will differentiate instruction, collaborate with families, and use school-approved curricula to support diverse learners in a bilingual setting. This is a full-time position in Lorain.

Qualifications

• Active and current Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Able to supervise students in various settings and pass background checks.
• Experience in urban education environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
