Job summary

ATAX Corporate Office invites an Experienced Tax Preparer to join our growing team in Houston, TX. You will prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals and entities, while staying current with federal and state tax laws.

Requires 5+ years in tax preparation and bilingual Spanish/English. You will deliver excellent client service, identify credits and deductions, and assist with audits and planning in a collaborative, fun environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5+ years of tax preparation experience.
• Must be bilingual (Spanish/English).
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters to clients clearly.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
• Stay current with changes in tax regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws.
• Provide exceptional customer service to clients, to create a fanatical fan!
• Identify potential tax credits, deductions, and liabilities to ensure clients receive the maximum refund possible.
• Assist clients with IRS Audits, tax planning and financial strategies.
