Job summary

TURN is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide drug and alcohol counseling to adult clients in a non-residential program. You will conduct individual and group counseling, lead rehabilitation activities, and support clients with recovery skills.

Qualified candidates may hold certification or be actively pursuing it, and must be bilingual Spanish. You will document progress using EHR, follow HIPAA rules, and collaborate with a treatment team in California.

Qualifications

• Certification in addiction counseling or actively pursuing certification with two years of related experience.
• B.A./B.S. in human services or equivalent with one year of related experience.
• Knowledge of California Title 9 DUI program as a provider.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a caseload as prescribed by the Program Manager.
• Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and rehabilitation activities.
• Document client progress and complete required paperwork on time.
• Attend treatment meetings and contribute to treatment and discharge plans.
