Job summary

E-Therapy in Algonquin, IL is seeking a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist for the 26/27 school year. This onsite, full-time role starts August 2026, 7.5 hours per day, serving PreK-12 students.

Requires IL SLP license and PEL, bilingual English-Spanish, ASHA certification, and school-based experience. You will assess, plan, and deliver bilingual therapy, collaborate with educators, and maintain records.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid IL SLP license or eligibility; bilingual (English-Spanish) required.
  • Current ASHA Certification.
  • Experience in school or pediatric settings with SLP services.
  • Proficient with pediatric assessment and therapy techniques.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with students, parents, and staff.
  • Knowledge of AAC systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist to join our dynamic team at E-Therapy. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing bilingual speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders in school settings.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills in both English and the target language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, etc.).
  • Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans to address students' communication goals and objectives in their primary language and English.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups, targeting areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, vocabulary development, and social communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and other school staff to integrate speech-language therapy goals and strategies into students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and classroom activities.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and other members of the educational team to provide updates on students' progress, therapy goals, and recommendations for home practice.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapy techniques, materials, and technology to enhance students' speech and language skills and promote generalization of skills across settings.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of therapy sessions, assessments, progress reports, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Current ASHA certification required
  • Passionate about working with K-12 students
  • Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques commonly used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technology used in speech-language therapy (preferred).
