Job summary

Salt Lake Community College's Center for Languages is seeking tutors to assist SLCC students in-person and on Zoom, supporting understanding of course materials and language programs. You’ll help organize cultural events and participate in CfL activities.

Applicants must observe the Student Code of Conduct, have good computer skills, reliability and attention to detail, and work with the target language level and teaching methods. You will host conversation tables and coordinate tutoring hours.

Qualifications

• Current SLCC student, pursuing language studies.
• Availability to attend SLCC classes in target language with course instructor approval.
• Native speaker of the target language.
• Experience teaching or tutoring in the target language.
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Tutors observe the SLCC Student Code of Conduct.
• Assist students with materials and online language programs.
• Establish and maintain tutoring hours each semester.
• Attend CfL meetings and required trainings.
• Host weekly or biweekly conversation tables for language practice.
