Tutor Me Education LLC in Sun City, CA is seeking passionate tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring for students with special needs. The role focuses on math intervention and supporting IEP-based instruction in a home setting.

Qualifications

• Able to prepare structured lesson plans and engaging activities for tutoring sessions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individualized lesson plans for each session, focused on math intervention aligned with 4th-grade standards.
• Strengthen multiplication fluency up to 12×12, multi-digit addition/subtraction, 2–4 digit multiplication, and introductory long division.
• Support problem-solving with multi-step word problems, fractions, and mathematical relationships.
• Teach geometry and measurement concepts, including angles, symmetry, perimeter, area, unit conversions, line plots, and related word problems.
• Reinforce reading comprehension with higher-level questions requiring analysis and multi-step reasoning.
• Use hands-on activities and routines to support attention and motivation.
• Provide gentle redirection and positive reinforcement to build confidence and participation.
• Communicate progress and session updates with the family.

About the Role:

As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Sun City, CA

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in Sun City, CA
• Schedule: 25 hours a month, 2 sessions a week for 1 hour
• Pay range is between $25 and $35

Ideal Candidate:

• Reinforce reading comprehension, especially higher-level questions that require deeper understanding, explanation, and multi-step reasoning.
• Use engaging, hands-on activities, creative exercises, and structured routines to support attention and maintain motivation.
• Provide gentle redirection and positive reinforcement to help build confidence, independence, and consistent participation.
• Communicate regularly with the family about academic progress, instructional strategies, and session updates.
• Provide academic support naturally and positively, respecting the family’s preference to keep discussions of diagnostic labels and special education services out of tutoring sessions with the student.
