Job summary

Sunset Park Community Services in Brooklyn provides outpatient mental health care to children, adults and families. We are seeking a dedicated clinician to join a multidisciplinary team and deliver evidence-based psychotherapy, psychosocial evaluations, and individualized treatment planning.

The clinician reports to the Clinic Supervisor or Clinic Director and collaborates with psychiatrists and other health professionals to support patient goals, complete clinical documentation and participate

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as LMHC, LMSW, LCSW or LMFT.
• Experience providing psychotherapy and psychosocial assessments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides culturally competent psychotherapy for patients.
• Provides psychosocial evaluations for patients.
• Completes clinical documentation.
• Collaborates with psychiatry and the multidisciplinary team.
• Assesses patient needs and develops care plans.
• Participates in meetings, case conferences and staff discussions.
• Provides patient psycho-education on mental health issues.
• Demonstrates understanding of child/family and adult behavioral health care.
• Participates in supervision and staff activities.
