Job summary

MedCare Pediatric seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide one-on-one pediatric home health care. Shifts run 8–12 hours, full-time and part-time options are available, serving families in the Greater Houston area, including Tomball.

Requirements include an active Texas LVN license, CPR certification, a valid drivers license with insurance, and at least 6 months of pediatric home health experience. Competitive hourly pay and benefits accompany the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one skilled nursing care to pediatric patients in homes during 8 hour shifts.
• Assess patient conditions during each visit, monitor vital signs and care for advanced devices (G-tubes, tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators).
• Administer medications and treatments per plan of care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and care team to ensure quality outcomes.

$22–$26 an hour

• Current Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and current auto liability insurance
• Minimum of 6 months of pediatric home health experience as an LVN required
• Provide skilled one-on-one nursing care to pediatric patients in their homes during 8–12 hour shifts, allowing them to remain safely with their families instead of an inpatient facility
• Care for children with serious illnesses, medical complexities, disabilities, or those recovering from injuries or extensive surgery
• Assess patient conditions during each visit, including monitoring vital signs, seizure activity, and providing care for gastrostomy tubes (G-tubes), tracheostomies, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and according to the individualized plan of care
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
