Job summary

Toolkit Tutors is seeking a Biology tutor to provide in-person, skill-based instruction at a Queens NYCDOE school. You will help students build foundational biology skills, problem-solving, and exam readiness in a structured setting.

Work is on-site 5 hours per day, 2 days per week, paid hourly as a W2 employee at $32–$35 per hour, with weekly pay. DOE fingerprint clearance preferred and curriculum/materials provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree completed with strong academic performance.
• At least one year of teaching or tutoring experience in a school setting.
• Strong knowledge of Biology and ability to engage urban students.

Responsibilities

• Provide structured Biology instruction to small groups using supplied curriculum.
• Review baseline data to tailor instruction to student needs.
• Assist students with study skills, organization, and exam preparation.
