Job summary

Illinois School District U-46 seeks a Teacher Bilingual Secondary Cross Categorical to provide individualized instruction per IEPs in a 9-month role within Specialized Student Services. The position supports ELL and bilingual education needs across core subjects and reading, math, and language components.

The role requires licensure with bilingual SP Ed approvals or equivalent, collaboration with parents and staff, and data-driven planning to monitor progress and transition goals for students

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CC standards and secondary curriculum
• Experience with IEPs and related services
• Ability to administer assessments per district/state rules
• Experience collaborating with families and staff
• Licensed/bilingual SP Ed credentials per Illinois requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide direct services per IEP
• Administer classroom, district and state assessments
• Modify assignments for integrated students
• Collaborate with parents and staff
• Enter diagnostic data and prepare progress reports
• Attend IEP and School Service Team meetings
• Develop transition plans and performance summaries
• Collaborate on grade reporting and data-driven goals
• Ensure services on IEP are implemented
• Attend contract meetings and professional development

Education

Bachelor's degree

PEL/LBS I with Bilingual SP Ed approval

PEL with bilingual endorsement and SP Ed approval

ELS with TBE endorsement and SP Ed approval
