Job summary

Esperanza Academy Charter School (EACS) in Philadelphia, PA is seeking a full-time School Psychologist for the 2026–2027 school year to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development in a multilingual setting.

The ideal candidate will conduct psychoeducational assessments, provide culturally responsive counseling, lead crisis intervention, and collaborate with staff and families to remove barriers to learning, with Spanish fluency required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid Pennsylvania Psychologist licensure.
• PA certification: School Psychologist PK–12 (CSPG 81) or willingness to obtain it.
• Current FBI, PA Criminal, and Child Abuse background checks completed within the last 12 months.
• Experience working in urban or charter school settings preferred.
• Spanish language fluency is required to meet bilingual student needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations for students referred for special education services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to interpret data and develop recommendations.
• Provide bilingual individual and group counseling supporting mental health and academic development.
• Deliver crisis intervention services and risk assessments as needed.
• Participate in IEP, MTSS, and Student Support Team meetings with psychological input.
• Maintain confidential student records according to professional standards.
• Assist in professional development on trauma-informed practices and SEL.
