Job summary

Yorktown Central School District is seeking a Bilingual School Psychologist for evaluations under the PPS division. This is not a full-time or permanent position and compensation is paid per bilingual psychoeducational evaluation completed.

Under the Director of Pupil Personnel Services, you will assess bilingual students, coordinate with school staff, and document findings to inform recommendations. Evaluations may occur after hours or at alternate locations.

Qualifications

• Certification as a School Psychologist in NYS.
• Bilingual Education Extension required.
• Experience conducting bilingual psychoeducational evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Conducts psychological and academic assessments to guide actions and learning.
• Assists with identification and placement of exceptional students.
• Coordinates with administrators and staff to determine students' abilities and needs.
• Keeps records accurately and complies with district procedures and laws.
• Encourages parental involvement and maintains effective communication.
• Continues professional development through seminars, workshops, or research.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned by principals and PPS director.
