Job summary

Greenwood K-8, part of Boston Public Schools, is seeking a Lunch Monitor for a Spanish/English Dual Language environment in Boston, MA. The role requires bilingual and bi-literate capabilities in Spanish and English. An ESL license at the appropriate level is highly preferred.

The position is 3 hours per day, with duties including supervising up to 30 students and assisting with lunch in the classroom. Reports to the Principal/Head of School.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in Spanish and English and bi-literate in Spanish is required or strongly preferred.
• English as a Second Language license at the appropriate level is highly preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of up to 30 students.
• Distribution of lunch inside the classroom.
• General cleanup of the classroom after lunch.
• Escorting students to recess.
• Other duties as requested by the Principal.
