Job summary

Devang Family Services is seeking passionate School-Based Therapists to join our growing team, providing individual, family, and group therapy to students during the school day and collaborating with school staff, parents, and other professionals to support emotional and academic success.

The role focuses on in-school therapy across Wake County with reliable transportation; bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or LPA licensure in North Carolina.
• Experience with children/adolescents and families in school or outpatient settings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within school environments.
• Experience completing DAs, treatment plans and clinical notes.
• Ability to model stable boundaries with clients.
• Timely completion and submission of service documentation.
• Comfort with diverse client bases.
• Proficient in Office 365 and EHR systems; Valant experience a plus.
• Background check and sex offender registry clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Provide school-based outpatient therapy (individual, family, group) and teletherapy as needed.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with school staff via Child and Family Team meetings, MTSS, IEPs, and staff consultations.
• Attend parent–teacher conferences as clinically indicated.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation per agency and payer standards.
• Participate in internal supervision, training and professional development.
• Ensure first session within 3 weeks of referral.
• Provide culturally competent and trauma-informed care.
• Deliver services with minimal disruption to academic instruction.
• Maintain communication with families and guardians, including informed consent.
