Job summary

Catholic Charities Comm is hiring a Mental Health Counselor for Schools in the Phoenix area. The role focuses on counseling students, families and school staff to foster a positive learning environment and emotional resilience within assigned Catholic schools and parishes.

The candidate must hold a Master’s degree in Counseling or related field, be bilingual (English/Spanish), and meet licensure requirements with AZBBHE. Evening/weekend hours and travel within the state may be required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; NCE; licensure path in AZ; bilingual English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing emotional, behavioral, and psychological issues.
• Coordinate with school administrators and staff to integrate services within school settings.
• Maintain confidential case records and provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Offer psychoeducation sessions to students, families, and staff.
