You will provide fast, professional service, process transactions, and answer questions to help customers complete wires, cashing, loans, money orders, bill payments, and online sales. This role requires strong communication, accuracy with cash handling, strict confidentiality, and adherence to company, state, and federal policies.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must speak Spanish fluently and basic English.
  • Detail oriented with currency handling and counting numbers.
  • Ability to operate computer, keyboard, and mouse.
  • Comply with company, state, and federal policies.

Responsibilities

  • Process wires, cash checks, loans, and sell products like money orders, bill payments, lottery tickets, and online sales.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers and direct them to appropriate services.
  • Balance and verify cash drawers, ensure accuracy and security of transactions.
  • Identify and promote cross‑selling opportunities to meet goals.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information and comply with regulations.
  • Support marketing initiatives and promotions when required.

SUMMARY: Sales associates are the primary customer-facing personnel who provide fast, efficient, and professional service while accurately managing transactions. This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service while accurately managing transactions such as wires, check cashing, loans, money orders, bill payments, and top-ups, lottery tickets and online sales. The Sales Associate is responsible for handling and balancing cash drawers, maintaining confidentiality of customer information, and ensuring compliance with company, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, this position identifies cross-selling opportunities, provides prompt and professional assistance with customer inquiries, and proactively enhances the company’s acceptance and branding in the market by applying best practices and consistent service excellence.KEY COMPETENCIES:You will be responsible for driving the results and development of the organization. It is expected that the noise level in commercial locations is at a moderate level.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Transaction ProcessingWires, cash checks, loans, and sell various company products like money orders, bill payments, lottery tickets and online sales, top- ups and reloads.Customer ServiceServe as the first point of contact for customers, answer questions, and direct them to the appropriate for their needs.Cash ManagementEach shift associate must count and balance cash drawers, verify balance with the system, and handle cash responsibly to prevent errors and maintain accuracy. Process deposits from and to the bank. Handling of cash received and delivering by agents.Cross-SellingIdentify and recommend additional company products and services that meet customer needs, cross-selling focused on meeting goals. Use available company materials (flyers or prizes) to promote and offer the company's products.Compliance & SecurityComply with company, state and federal policies and regulations, maintain client confidentiality and identify and report any inappropriate or suspicious activity.Record KeepingKeep track of all shift transactions and other relevant information using the company's systems or procedures.Marketing & PromotionSupport company marketing initiatives when required, such as distributing flyers, sharing promotional materials with customers, or assisting with in-store and out-of-store campaigns, always ensuring professionalism and alignment with company branding.Other TasksOther tasks of a similar nature, scope, or level of responsibility as assigned by Management (e.g., assisting with in-store and out-of-store promotions, supporting marketing initiatives, or helping with operational improvements).Physical DemandsFrequent sitting and operating of computers, phone, calculator.Hand manipulation: Use of hands to grab, organize, turn things, and related (20% to 50% of the time).Observing, listening, and talking to customers and coworkers (70% of the time)Sitting: 80% of the time.Standing/Walking: 1% to 20% of the time)Inclined/Bending: 1% to 20% of the time)Standing and/or carrying things up to 20 lbs.
