Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz is seeking a Bilingual Research Specialist to join the Lifecourse Epidemiology of Adiposity & Diabetes Center (LEAD). This Open Rank role supports observational epidemiological studies, conducts in-person and remote visits, collects biospecimens, administers surveys, and ensures IRB compliance with minimal supervision.

The position offers flexible FTE (0.75 to 1.0) with reporting to the Project Manager, on-site at the CU Anschutz Campus in Aurora, CO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological sciences, health/medical research, public health, social/behavioral sciences, physical sciences, healthcare, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
• One year of professional level experience in a clinical or research setting following protocols and working directly with patients/study participants, including phlebotomy experience and/or certification.
• Bilingual English and Spanish speaking required.

Responsibilities

• Collect physical measurements (weight, height, etc.) per protocol.
• Administer health-related questionnaires.
• Collect and process blood samples; ship to labs for analysis.
• Coordinate scheduling of in-person and remote study visits.
• Provide participant engagement and outreach support.
