Job summary

5TH HQ in Davie, FL is seeking an experienced Bilingual R&D Formulation to support development of dietary supplements in tablets, capsules, and powders. The ideal candidate has a Food Science/Chemistry background with hands-on formulation, lab testing, GMP, and manufacturing process experience.

The role requires 3–5 years of formulation or product development in nutraceuticals or related fields, with proficiency in Excel and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific field required.
• 3–5 years of relevant formulation or product development experience, preferably within nutraceuticals/ dietary supplements.
• Experience developing tablets, capsules, and/or powder formulations.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and requirements.
• Familiarity with lab equipment and manufacturing processes including blending, compression, encapsulation.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and develop new oral solid dosage dietary supplement products based on customer specs, labels, and samples.
• Coordinate new product formulation development and modify existing formulations as required.
• Prepare nutraceutical formulations according to established test methods and perform necessary calculations.
• Optimize ingredient functionality, product performance, formulations, quality, and cost.
• Develop Supplement Facts and Nutrition Facts for formulated products.
• Review Master Formulas for accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare written product monographs, technical docs, and progress reports.
• Research clinical studies and technical info related to active ingredients.
• Provide technical support to domestic and international customers.
• Review documentation for international product registration.
• Monitor and interpret data across all product development phases.
• Collaborate with lab, quality, regulatory, and production teams during scale-up.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Food Science, Chemistry, Nutraceuticals, or Dietary Supplement Manufacturing and hands-on experience with product formulation, laboratory testing, GMP requirements, and manufacturing processes.

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:30 am - 5:30 pm
Salary: $60,000 – $65,000 per year

• 3–5 years of relevant formulation or product development experience, preferably within the nutraceutical, dietary supplement, pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing industry.
• Experience developing tablets, capsules, and/or powder formulations.
• Knowledge of GMP regulations and requirements.
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and dietary supplement manufacturing processes, including blending, compression, encapsulation, and related production stages.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Bilingual English/Spanish IS A MUST.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
