Job summary

Mindify Wellness and Care in Fair Lawn, NJ, seeks a bilingual Spanish-speaking PMHNP-BC to join our behavioral health team. This hybrid role combines one onsite day per week with telehealth for Mindify patients across New Jersey.

We offer an established patient caseload, flexible telehealth scheduling, and supportive colleagues. Spanish fluency and onsite availability in Fair Lawn are required.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral PMHNP degree from an accredited program.
• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Active New Jersey APN certification.
• PMHNP-BC certification.
• DEA registration.
• Active New Jersey CDS registration.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.
• Onsite availability in Fair Lawn, NJ one day per week 9:00–16:00.
• Ability to provide onsite and telehealth in NJ.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication-management visits.
• Assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria.
• Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.
• Monitor patient progress and medication side effects.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses and treatments.
• Document accurately in EMR and coordinate care with other providers.
• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, and primary care providers.
• Perform risk assessments and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and professional standards.

Join Our Growing Behavioral Health Team!

Mindify Wellness and Care is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and bilingual Spanish-speaking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to join our growing behavioral health team in Fair Lawn, New Jersey.

This hybrid opportunity combines one day per week of onsite psychiatric services at our partner adult day care center with additional telehealth appointments for Mindify patients throughout New Jersey.

We offer an established patient caseload, flexible telehealth scheduling, administrative support, and a collaborative clinical environment so providers can focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Spanish fluency and onsite availability in Fair Lawn are required.

Schedule & Location

Onsite Location: Fair Lawn, New Jersey

• Onsite Requirement: One weekday per week, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

• Telehealth: Additional appointments based on patient needs, caseload availability, and provider scheduling preferences

• Flexible Scheduling: Telehealth visits may be scheduled on the same day as onsite services or on additional days

• Onsite Day: Specific weekday will be coordinated with the selected provider

This position is ideal for a provider seeking a consistent onsite commitment while maintaining flexibility through telehealth.

Applicants must be available to provide both onsite and telehealth services. This is not a fully remote position.

Compensation

• Initial Psychiatric Evaluations: $70-$90 per completed visit

• Follow-Up Medication Management: $45-$60 per completed visit

Compensation is based on experience, credentials, qualifications, and clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up medication-management visits

• Assess, diagnose, and treat psychiatric and behavioral health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria

• Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychiatric medications

• Develop and update individualized treatment plans

• Monitor patient progress, treatment effectiveness, and medication side effects

• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and treatment options

• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)

• Collaborate with therapists, social workers, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals

• Conduct risk assessments and address clinical concerns as appropriate

• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care when clinically indicated

• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, prescribing regulations, professional standards, and organizational policies

Required Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing

• Active New Jersey Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) certification

• Current PMHNP-BC certification

• Active DEA registration

• Active New Jersey Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) registration

• Fluency in both English and Spanish is required

• Availability to provide onsite psychiatric services in Fair Lawn one day per week from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

• Availability to provide additional telehealth services to patients located in New Jersey

• Strong psychiatric assessment, medication-management, and clinical documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

• Experience in outpatient behavioral health, geriatric psychiatry, telehealth, or community-based care

• Experience working with older adults and culturally diverse patient populations

Newly certified PMHNPs with strong relevant psychiatric experience are encouraged to apply.

Position Details

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity.

Mindify provides patient referrals, administrative scheduling and coordination support, malpractice insurance coverage, and a collaborative agreement for services delivered to Mindify patients.

Malpractice coverage and the collaborative agreement apply only while the provider is actively contracted with Mindify and do not extend to patients seen through outside employment, private practice, or another organization.

Part-time or full-time W-2 opportunities may be considered in the future based on organizational needs and mutual interest. W-2 employment is not guaranteed.
