Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Montclair, CA seeks an Associate Clinical Social Worker to provide supervised clinical social work services to adults, children and families in inpatient and outpatient settings, using established psychotherapeutic techniques.

Under supervision, you conduct initial interviews, assess needs, recommend therapy or action plans, and perform clinical case management across settings, with emphasis on crisis intervention.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree from an accredited program.
• Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (CA) or equivalent licensure track.
• Bilingual English/Spanish Level II required.
• Ability to conduct initial assessments and provide crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial interviews to assess psychological and social needs of members.
• Explain treatment options and action plans to members.
• Provide clinical case management in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Provide immediate guidance during emotional crises or psychiatric emergencies.
• Maintain written records; prepare reports and letters; coordinate with social agencies, schools, relatives, etc.
• Provide telephone counseling and referral services.
• Participate in CQI/OD duties and departmental projects.
• Provide psycho-education within prescribed treatment.
