Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts in Selmer, TN is seeking a Delivery Specialist to maintain and operate store vehicles, delivering parts to professional customers and handling COD collections. You will also pick up returns and assist with cashier duties as needed.

Responsibilities include using handheld devices, keeping vehicles clean and inspected, securing equipment and money, and coordinating with store management to address customer needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company’s 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver’s license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
• Familiar with automotive parts.
• Ability to operate other light store equipment.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture signatures, update mileage, and perform vehicle inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained, completing daily inspections prior to operation.
• Keep vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and monies secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and complete driver return slips.
• Report issues to store management and coordinate with customers as needed.
• Notify store manager of vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and secure the vehicle at day’s end.
• Clock in/out per policy; perform other duties such as stocking, merchandising, and errands.
• Help customers as needed, including cashiering and merchandising tasks.
