Job summary

Illinois Education Job Bank is seeking paraprofessionals to support bilingual students in elementary and middle school settings in Manteno, IL. Roles involve literacy and math instruction, remote learning support via Google Classroom/Meet, and collaboration with ESL staff.

Positions may be filled at Manteno Elementary (K-4) or Manteno Middle (5-8). Candidates should hold appropriate Illinois licenses and be capable of teamwork and reliable, confidential work.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Illinois paraprofessional or educator license.
• Ability to read and interpret documents.
• Ability to speak clearly with proper grammar.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with Google Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides literacy and math practice and support to bilingual students in collaboration with general education teachers
• Provides literacy and math practice via google classroom and google meets for remote learning groups
• Becomes knowledgeable of teaching methods and materials to support language development
• Prepares instructional materials, performs designated lessons with students, uses supplementary learning materials as needed
• Observes and reports student progress to ESL teacher
• Follows instructional schedule developed by ESL teacher
• Models nondiscriminatory practices in all activities
• Performs any other related duties as assigned by the Principal or other administrator
