Job summary

Healthy Beginnings is seeking an Outreach Educator to build relationships with child care providers and Pediatricians in Palm Beach County, conducting developmental screens and referrals to qualified children. The role supports marketing strategies and engagement with community partners to promote the Healthy Beginnings system of care.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, 2+ years in related fields, and bilingual English/Creole.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services (preferably in social work, developmental psychology, or early childhood education).
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in child welfare, primary prevention services, child development or related field.

Responsibilities

• Provides developmental screens to children enrolled with designated child care providers, pediatrician offices, outreach events and appropriate venues.
• Researches, attends, and participates in community events, fairs, and outreach opportunities to increase public awareness of the Healthy Beginnings system.
• Tracks and maintains data regarding community events and outreach efforts including attendees and outreach opportunities.
• Collaborates with Children’s Services Council and Healthy Beginnings partners to provide a consistent message.
• Assists Community Outreach Manager with translating copy/verbiage on marketing materials and social media.
