Job summary

Zufall Health in Paterson, NJ seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct clinical care within the care team, under supervision of the CMO and Clinical Site Director. The NP will provide evidence-based primary care, coordinate referrals, and participate in community health initiatives.

The role requires RN and NP licensure in New Jersey, NP certification, DEA/CDS, and BLS. Bilingual English/Spanish is highly valued; night/weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold RN license and NP certification.
• Master’s degree or Doctorate in advanced nursing practice.
• Licensed as RN and as NP in NJ.
• Current NP specialty certification.
• DEA and CDS registrations required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Bicultural and bilingual experience valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care per education, training, license, and certification.
• Serve as primary care provider for an assigned patient panel.
• Collaborate with physicians and follow joint protocol guidelines.
• Lead clinical support staff to improve patient care.
• Participate in night/weekend call coverage in rotation.
• Assist patients with community resources and referrals.
• Ensure compliance with federal and health center productivity standards.
• Engage in clinical performance improvement and peer reviews.
• Maintain licensure, credentialing, and educational activities up to date.
• Teach and train staff and NP students as needed.
• Participate in community health initiatives and health fairs.
• Remain active in professional associations and Zufall Health Center Medical Staff.
• Assume duties of Director of Nursing as assigned.
