Under the general direction of the Lead Medical Coordinator, the Medical Coordinator assists with the coordination and implementation of medical services provided to UAC. The Medical Coordinator uses sound medical and professional judgment and best practices to support the medical safety and well-being of UAC.

The Medical Coordinator works collaboratively with Lead Medical Coordinator to ensure the medical, dental, mental health and physical needs of UAC are met in accordance with agency policy,

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: at least 1 year in public health or healthcare; child welfare preferred.
• License/Credentials: LVN/LPN or RN with required credentials; valid driver's license.
• Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish.
• Travel: 0% local and 0% overnight.

Responsabilités

• Perform triage assessments and determine urgency, coordinating medical response.
• Engage in case staffings and follow up with recommendations; maintain records.
• Ensure medical services are documented in the UAC Portal within required timeframes.
• Oversee medication administration, inventory, labeling accuracy, and error reporting.
• Provide health education, transportation coordination, and crisis intervention as needed.
