Job summary

USA Clinics Group in Glendale, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to balance patient needs and maintain efficient office workflow while supporting the physician during clinical procedures. You will greet and room patients, record vital signs and medical histories, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, and document in EMR/EHR with accuracy.

The role includes a paid training period, a Monday, Friday, and Saturday schedule across multiple locations, and Spanish-English

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role.
  • Experience performing vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection.
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish & English required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
  • Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the EMR/EHR.
  • Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
  • Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
  • Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
  • Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.
