Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, Patient Care Coordinator, or related healthcare role.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Experience in direct patient care in a fast-paced primary care clinic preferred.
• Familiarity with eClinicalWorks (eCW) is a plus.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Creole preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and record patient vitals, including blood pressure.
• Prepare and label specimens for testing, processing, and storage.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms.
• Enter clinical data into the EMR system.
• Obtain diagnostic reports and hospital notes; generate after-visit summaries.
• Register patients in the EMR, verify insurance eligibility, and obtain pre-authorizations.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
• Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
• Perform check-in, check-out, referrals, and follow-up appointment scheduling.
