Job summary
China Global Connections is seeking a Mathematics Teacher for a bilingual school in Shanghai. The position starts August 2026 and is full-time for the upcoming academic year. The school serves grades 1-12 with a mix of Chinese curriculum and IGCSE/A levels elements, located in Pudong.
The role involves teaching 11–18 year-old students, lesson planning, assessments, and collaboration with local teachers to enhance the curriculum. Strong English communication is required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics is required.
- At least 2 years of related teaching experience.
- Experience with A-Level or IGCSE students is beneficial.
- Teaching certificates are required.
- Excellent English communication skills is required.
Responsibilities
- Teach mathematics to secondary school students aged 11-18.
- Prepare lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments.
- Co-teach with Chinese teachers and contribute to developing curriculum.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so all learners can succeed.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers.
