Job summary

Urban Health Plan seeks Clinical Social Workers I/II (LMSW) who are bilingual English/Spanish to join the Behavioral Health team at our Bronx flagship site, El Nuevo San Juan Community Health Center. You will conduct assessments, provide individual therapy, and coordinate with physicians under supervision to accumulate clinical hours toward an LCSW.

Initially onsite for training, after 2–3 months a hybrid option may be reassessed for remote days with established patients.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work is required.
• NYS Licensed LMSW is required.
• 2 years of therapy experience.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is required.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provides bio-psychosocial and clinical diagnostic assessments.
• Conducts individual psychotherapy and counseling services.
• Maintains current knowledge of clinical theory and practice.
• Provides family counseling to support patients.
• Engages in crisis intervention and connects to community resources.
• Collaborates with medical providers to develop treatment plans.
• Participates in clinical team meetings.
