Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program in Georgia seeks a Licensing Coordinator III to license and retain quality foster homes, ensuring programmatic and contractual compliance. The role requires the highest levels of certification and leadership within the state.

Responsibilities

  • Perform licensing and relicensing for foster homes and ensure they meet state, contractual, and programmatic requirements.
  • Develop comprehensive home studies and submit for approval.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to licensed foster homes and conduct annual evaluations.
  • Lead and mentor Licensing Coordinators across programs in home visits and monitoring.
  • Travel to foster homes to ensure compliance and build relationships.

Position Summary

TheLicensing CoordinatorIIIis responsible forlicensing andretainingquality foster homes, ensuring licensed homes meet or exceed programmatic/contractual obligations. The LevelIIIroleindependentlycompletes all functions of the role,is fully certifiedat thehighest levels of certificationasrequiredin the State,provides regulatory oversight,and provides leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

TheLicensing Coordinator IIIwill performduties includingbut not limited to:

Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Program’s Mission, Values and Philosophies.

Attain the highest level of certificationsand trainingrequired by the State and ensure they are current and in good standing.

Supportthe development ofpotential foster parents in understanding the needs of youth entering foster care.

Responsible for the knowledge and implementation of all rules, regulations, and policies related to foster care.

Begin the licensing processimmediatelyupon completion of the foster parent(s)initialorientation.

Assistall potential foster families in providing required information and completing paperworkin a timely manner.

Coordinatefoster parent training and ensureparents register for and complete training.

Meet with foster parents experiencing challenges in the licensing process toidentifyandassistin overcoming barriers.

Develop a comprehensive home study for each potential family andsubmitit for approval.

Maintain and updateall foster home records inappropriate systems.

Provideongoing training and support to licensed foster homes.

Completeannual evaluations and recertifications of all licensed foster homes.

Support foster parents by providing information, education, meetings, support groups, and one-on-one discussions.

Travel to visit homes to ensure compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatoryand safetyrequirements.

Provideleadership to the team.

Participatein Continuous Quality Improvement activities on a monthly/quarterly basis.

Activelyparticipatein the weekly supervision process.

Reportallincidentstosupervisoras necessary.

Mentor andassistLicensing Coordinatorsacross programsin training withinitialhome visits,monitoringvisits, and home study development.

Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual (English-Spanish).Fluency in Spanishrequired.

Must have excellent English verbal and writing skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Social Workor a comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.

At least two (2) years of work experience in direct service with youth and families.

Must haveattainedthe highest level of certificationsand trainingrequired by the State and ensure they are current and in good standing.

Must have excellent organizational skills to accommodate working with multiple families in the licensing and relicensing process simultaneously.

Mustdemonstratea sincere commitment tothe serviceand advocacy for youth and families

Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smart phones and tablets, printers, faxmachinesand photocopiers as well as software including word processing,spreadsheetand database programs.

Mustpossessa valid state driver’s license,have reliabletransportation, andbe eligible to drive tofacilitateprogram services as required by contractual agreement.

Must be at least 21 years of age at the time ofhire.

Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.

Ability to travelfrequentlyand drivevehiclewhile sitting for extended periods, with frequency varying based on program demands.
