Job summary

55 Compass Connections is hiring for a food service position to support our programs dedicated to helping others. The role requires high school diploma, fluency in English and Spanish, and relevant certifications like First Aid and CPR. A minimum of six months of related experience is expected.

Responsibilities include maintaining sanitary kitchen areas, operating equipment safely, measuring ingredients, and following safety protocols. Evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior intervention certifications preferred.
• 6 months of related experience and/or training required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sanitary conditions in work and food service areas that meet or exceed licensing and policy requirements.
• Operate kitchen equipment and report any malfunctioning equipment immediately.
• Produce a standard food product by weighing and measuring ingredients accurately.
• Maintain knowledge of materials and equipment used in food preparation and cooking.
• Implement Compass Connections safety protocols including evacuating with children and staff in case of an emergency.
• Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary or requested by the position supervisor.
• Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.
• Maintain Compass Connections professional and ethical standards of conduct per employee handbook.
