Job summary

Chicago Public Schools seeks a Bilingual Education Teacher to deliver language-focused instruction under the supervision of the school principal. Responsibilities include lesson planning, classroom management, and supporting English language development for limited English proficient students.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of student teaching requirements and coursework to obtain ISBE teaching license(s).
• Bilingual endorsement required for the taught grade level.
• Knowledge of state standards and bilingual instructional practices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Illinois Learning Standards.
• Administer language assessments and monitor bilingual students’ progress.
• Maintain attendance records and manage classroom behavior per district policy.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and conduct.
