Job summary

The PATH School, Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a dedicated educator to support academic instruction, behavioral interventions, and targeted ML/ Exceptional Learner coaching. You will use data to identify scholars needing extra help and tailor lessons accordingly.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience working with a diverse body of scholars and staff in an urban school setting.
• Alignment: Deep passion for social justice, equity, and strict alignment with the vision, mission, and goals of TPS.
• Commitment: Punctuality, adherence to deadlines, and being fully present and engaged during the entire school day.
• Core competencies: Strong work ethic, adaptability, communication/listening skills, and robust organizational and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Use academic and social-emotional data to identify, group, and instruct scholars who need additional supports.
• Plan, pace, differentiate, and deliver engaging lesson plans using culturally responsive pedagogy and integrated technology.
• Establish clear learning objectives, regularly assess scholar accomplishments, maintain accurate records, and communicate progress to families and colleagues.
• Language Support: Evaluate language needs, administer language screeners, and implement targeted strategies to increase English proficiency for bilingual scholars.
• Collaborative Care: Work alongside classroom teachers, the Director of Exceptional Learners, and the school psychologist to facilitate special education eligibility and share best practices.
• Behavior Management: Maintain impeccable and positive classroom management by establishing clear rules, routines, and disciplinary systems aligned with school policies.
