Ideal candidates hold a High School diploma, Illinois Paraprofessional License, and are fluent in English and Spanish. 30 college hours are preferred, with strong organizational and communication skills and basic computer experience.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Spanish (Speaking, Reading, Writing)
• Paraprofessional license required in Illinois
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 30 college hours preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in facilitating development of students’ personal, social, and intellectual growth.
• Help establish a positive learning environment and respond to individual student needs.
• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents.
• Assist teachers with classroom behaviors and academics.
• Provide language support for English Learner Team.
• Assist with accommodated materials and document translation when asked.
