British American Household Staffing seeks a seasoned career nanny to care for an infant on the Upper East Side in NYC. The role is Monday–Friday, about 60 hours per week, with a potential overlap with the newborn care specialist for a smooth transition.

Spanish-speaking candidates are prioritized; the ideal caregiver is nurturing, reliable, and proactive, coordinating with involved parents to support feeding, sleep, and developmental milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for infants and toddlers.
• Knowledge of infant development milestones.
• Experience introducing solids and purées.
• Reliable, discreet, and professional.
• Self-directed and proactive, with excellent judgment.
• Collaborative team player who works with parents.

Responsibilities

• Provide loving, attentive, full-charge care for one infant.
• Work collaboratively with parents and own the baby's daily routine.
• Engage the baby with reading, singing, play and age-appropriate activities.
• Support developmental milestones (sitting, crawling, motor skills, communication).
• Take the baby on daily walks and outings around the Upper East Side.
• Maintain nap/sleep routines and feed bottles.
• Introduce Spanish to the child as they grow.
• Assist with gradual transition to formula and solids.
• Maintain nursery and organize baby belongings.
• Communicate daily with parents about activities and concerns.
