Job summary

Maryland Treatment Centers in Maryland is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and train the cleaning staff in our healthcare environment. You will coach, monitor and work alongside the team to ensure patient rooms and offices meet daily schedules and regulatory standards.

Schedule is Monday–Friday with one Saturday per month, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (40 hours per week). Prior hospital/healthcare housekeeping experience is required, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Must be 21 years old
• High School Diploma
• 12+ months of experience as a housekeeper in a hospital/healthcare setting

Responsibilities

• Efficient and thorough cleaning of patient rooms, staff offices, and community rooms according to a daily schedule and standards
• Coach, train, monitor and work alongside housekeeping staff to ensure quality and compliance
• Navigate stairs and perform duties that require physical activity as part of shift

Because we are committed to treatment for co-occurring disorders, we have integrated psychiatric and mental health treatment into substance abuse services throughout our continuum.

Responsibilities

The overall responsibility of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to be a working supervisor – to coach, train, monitor and work along with housekeeping staff to ensure the efficient cleaning of patient rooms and staff offices according to a daily schedule and facility / regulatory standards.

• Efficient and timely cleaning of patient rooms, staff offices, and community rooms according to a daily schedule.
• Must be comfortable walking up and down 5 flights of stairs each shift
• Frequent / strenuous physical activity (e.g. heavy lifting, sustained physical effort, extensive carrying, pushing / pulling, etc.)
• Tasks involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and tissue

Requirements
