Job summary

NOVEL PREP is seeking a passionate High School Humanities Teacher who is bilingual in Mandarin and English to join our academic team in Cupertino. The ideal candidate will teach English Language Arts and/or Social Studies at the high school level and prepare students for SAT and TOEFL.

You will design engaging, standards-aligned lessons, assess student progress, provide feedback, and collaborate with colleagues to support bilingual learners and foster cross-cultural understanding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, History, Social Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of high school teaching experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English is required.
• Experience teaching SAT and/or TOEFL prep is highly preferred.
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach high school English and/or Social Studies to bilingual students.
• Develop standards-aligned lessons supporting language growth.
• Provide targeted SAT/TOEFL preparation instruction.
• Create an inclusive classroom for bilingual learners and global perspectives.
• Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
